I’m not a hair pro by any means - all I do is shampoo, condition, and use hair oil. I was very happy to win the Amos Professional Satin Pleasure Hair Oil in their giveaway. It’s available on the official brand Amazon shop. Watch the unboxing here.
This perfumed hair oil promises soft, glossy, moisturized hair. The formula combines 8 different oils for a light, non-greasy finish.
Fragrance is one of the selling points for this product, so if you like unscented things, this probably isn’t for you. The scent was co-created by Amore Pacific perfumers and features Rose, Jasmine, and Tuberose.
Because I’m not good at describing scents, I took this straight from the Amos Professional Satin Pleasure Hair Oil scent description:
TOP - Leafy Green / Citrus (lemon)
MIDDLE - Floral (Tuberose, Jasmin, Rose) / Creamy
BASE - Cedar Wood / Musk / Amber
I personally love the scent and reach for this all the time.
How to use:
Apply 1-2 pumps to hair and comb through
Can be used on damp or dry hair
My impressions
I have fine, thin hair, so I’m careful with what I put in it - I don’t want anything to weigh it down or cause any greasiness. I’m really happy with the Amos hair oil. I apply it on clean, damp hair from about ear level down (I don’t put anything on my roots, unless it’s a dedicated scalp product like this one). The scent is lovely and not strong. It does last for some time after application, but it’s not distracting or overwhelming.
My hair tangles a lot less when I use this oil. It’s also shiny without being greasy or sticky. Most importantly, Amos Professional hair oil doesn’t weigh anything down. I’ve tried it while letting the hair air dry (what I do most of the time) and also blow drying - it works well both ways.
The packaging deserves a special mention. I adore that the bottle is glass. It’s so beautiful (and I don’t even like pink haha)! The whole application becomes a luxurious experience, and I’m all about that after a long, stressful day of being a grown up. My bathroom sink full of skin and hair products is my happy place.
If you are looking to take extra care of your hair, I would recommend trying out this oil.
