A’pieu Steam Eye Mask Review

Updated: Mar 3, 2021

My typical day is very screen heavy. I drag myself out of bed while it’s “still night” (as in it’s dark and I would rather be sleeping) and spend the whole morning in front of two huge monitors at work. I also use my cell phone (way more than I should), macbook, TV, etc. You get the picture. This constant screen connection isn’t just detrimental to the nervous system, it can also cause eye fatigue and even fine lines (from tension). So, how does one relax?

Korean beauty has already figured out the solution. A’pieu came out with special steam eye masks. These masks are made specifically for people with chronic eye fatigue. They are sold on Amazon.

How to use:

  1. Open the package and unfold the mask

  2. Put it on with the white side facing the eyes; pull the ear loops over the ears

  3. Relax for 20 minutes

The mask will react with oxygen and self heat. It has to be used immediately, as eventually the reaction will stop and the mask will cool.

My impressions:

I’m enjoying these masks very much. I like to put one on, set the timer for 20 minutes (I have a hard time just relaxing without any concept of time) and turn on soothing music. It’s hard for me to turn off my brain, even for a minute, and this really helps. Even my forehead lines look better (reduced tension = less wrinkling).

The warmth is very pleasant; the temperature is just right for me. Such a simple thing, but so useful. The only drawback is it’s nearly impossible to take a good picture with my eyes closed.
