I don’t spend nearly as much time and effort on my hair as I do on my skin, and it probably shows. A good hair rinse can be incredibly pleasant (and beneficial), so I've been eyeing different hair vinegars for a while. A few months ago, I finally added one to cart.

A'PIEU Raspberry Hair Vinegar is a moisturizing hair rinse promising to balance pH levels while caring for the scalp and hair. It’s available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), and Olive Young (code KBHOBBIT77).

A'PIEU Raspberry Hair Vinegar

How to use

  • Apply to scalp and hair after shampooing

  • Massage gently

  • Rinse

The raspberry hair vinegar smells very pleasant both during and after application - fruity and a bit tart. It’s a noticeable yet subtle scent. I could definitely smell it on my daughter hours after a bath (and it’s how I knew she'd been in my beauty stash without asking, oh well). The pointy nozzle makes application simple and quick. After rinsing, the hair has more slip and shine but isn’t greasy or heavy. The scent disappears after 3-5 hours.

My impressions

I like this but I am not sure it’s a must have product based on its benefits. The scent is 10/10 and I would use A’PIEU hair vinegar just for that. But as far as being a great hair product… it’s just ok. I cannot use it on the scalp - I have oily roots and almost anything on them will weigh the hair down. I noticed this on my child too - if she applies the vinegar all over, her roots look greasy very quickly.

For the lengths, the vinegar doesn’t do anything special that a more traditional conditioner wouldn’t do. And because the product is so liquid, it tends to run out much faster than a conditioner of the same volume would. I will definitely finish using this (and my daughter likes this more than conditioner, because it’s a bit faster to use), but I’m not sure that I would get it again. My favorite vinegar product is still La’dor ACV hair treatment, which has the texture of a more traditional conditioner.

With all of that said, if you are curious about A’PIEU Raspberry Hair Vinegar, it’s definitely not a bad product and is worth a try.
