9WISHES Hydra Skin Ampule Serum Review

One of the best parts of beauty bloggins is discovering new products and brands. I don’t know why 9WISHES wasn’t on my radar until now, but oh well. At least now I know! I’ve already written about their hydra toner (review here); today I want to talk about the 9WISHES Hydra Skin Ampule Serum. It’s available on Oshen Skin (use my code kbhobbit10 for a discount) - you can also see it “live '' in this unboxing video.

The product combines coconut water with hyaluronic acid, probiotics and aloe vera to hydrate, soothe, and strengthen the skin. While these ingredients are mostly well known to the skincare enthusiasts, the baobab tree seed extract may be new to you (it was to me). This extract contains linoleic acid and has anti-inflammatory properties to help with skin redness and irritation.

The 9WISHES Hydra Skin Ampule Serum was voted the #1 serum on Get It Beauty and featured in Allure 2020 F/W publication.

How to use:

  • Apply after cleansing and toning

  • Pat in

  • Follow with moisturizer

The ampule comes in a glass dropper bottle and has a pale blue color. I don’t notice a scent. The consistency is definitely thicker than water but not quite a gel - the pipette dispenser works perfectly for this.

My impressions

I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry/normal other areas. Hydration is crucial to me, because the oily zones get super oily when dehydrated. I’ve been enjoying this ampule serum at night as part of a hydrating skincare routine. My morning skincare is super basic, but I find joy in having a somewhat elaborate evening ritual, in part to mentally decompress from my life.

9WISHES Ampule Serum provides ample hydration and nourishment (especially paired with their toner) without causing any stickiness or congestion. The deceivingly small looking bottle will actually last me quite a while since each application only requires a few drops. I extend my skincare all the way down to my chest, and even with that I still find it to be a good value for the money.

I can see this being good for all skin types from dry to oily, especially if your skin is dehydrated. And I have to give the brand kudos on the packaging - I love the frosted glass look, even if it’s super hard to photograph.

Have you tried any 9WISHES products? What did you think? Stay tuned for the final Hydra product review in the coming days (and subscribe to my blog for updates).
