I only have a few wrinkles, and thus I’m very familiar with each one. I keep close track of them and try to make sure they don’t get out of hand too much. So I’m always on the lookout for noninvasive ways to slow down time, at least a little bit.
I recently received an interesting product from 637beauty.com - 5ildongan Skinfull Spot With Volufiline 1.5ml. If you'd like to watch my initial impressions, check out this video, starting with minute 19.
The syringe-looking package contains a thick, white essence that can be applied to any wrinkle-prone area: around the eyes, nasolabial folds, forehead, etc. The essence is made with 20% Volufiline (hydrogenated polyisobutene Anemarrhena asphodeloides root extract). Volufiline is a patented invention of the French Sederma Co, meant to work as a filler and reduce sagging. The formula is hypoallergenic and can be used by all skin types.
How to use:
Use in the evening
Apply to problem areas after cleansing and toning. I focus on my forehead.
Lightly pat the area to aid absorption
That’s it. I find the formula very moisturizing. My combination skin doesn’t need any extra steps afterwards.
5ildongan means “within 5 days”. The manufacturer suggests using the product for 5 consecutive days when first starting out to achieve maximum effect. My guess is that afterwards, the effect can be maintained with less frequent use.
One package is enough for 3-4 uses if applied around both eyes. Since I only treat my forehead, I get 5-6 applications. The syringe has little tick marks, but I do not use those to guide me - I simply squeeze out enough to cover my problem area. The product spreads very easily and each use doesn’t take a lot.
My impressions:
Well, miracles don’t exist (other than it’s really amazing how I can function on so little sleep), but… One of my dreaded forehead lines is quite deep. I can always find it with my fingers when I cleanse. And what do you know, it became significantly less deep after using just one of the syringes (I’ve finished both now). I’m not sure if it’s a noticeable visual difference, but there’s a huge tactile change. I rarely use foundation on my forehead (because it tends to settle into that line). I used some as a test and there was way less settling. So, in my completely honest, non-sponsored opinion, this seems to work. I wonder what kind of results can be achieved with either regular less frequent use (2-3 times a week) or short bursts of intensive treatments (using the syringes daily for a couple of weeks, then taking a break). If any of my readers try either of those approaches, please let me know how that goes.
Again, both of these were sent to me as a gift. The product is available on the 637beauty website in a single pack or a bundle of five syringes.
