Neogen Real Fresh Green Tea Cleansing Stick Review

Updated: Oct 27, 2020

I love trying new products and new types of products, which is why the world of Korean cosmetics is a gift that keeps on giving - something new and exciting comes out all the time. I’ve heard people rave about cleansing sticks, but have never owned one myself. To remedy that, I bought Neogen Real Fresh Green Tea Cleansing Stick around the winter holidays in 2018. It has won the 2017 Teen Vogue Acne Awards and is sold on* eBay, Amazon, YesStyle, and Cosmetic Love. You can also get it on SokoGlam and receive 20% off your first order using this link.

This stick is meant to be a two-in-one cleanser, replacing both a cleansing oil and a foaming wash. It contains a blend of 13 oils to break down makeup, sunscreen, and the dust and grime of the day. The green specs you see are real tea leaves that provide gentle exfoliation.

How to use:

  • Twist the tube from the bottom until a bit of the cleansing stick comes out (like a huge lip balm, in a way)

  • Rub over moist face

  • Massage with your fingers to form a lather

  • Rinse off with water

My impressions:

I can definitely see why people love cleansing sticks in general and this one in particular. It’s a very convenient way to wash off the day, and all in one step! Although, if I’m wearing heavy makeup (a rare occasion for me), I still prefer to use a cleansing oil first (reviews here) and then the stick. A huge bonus for anyone who travels or takes toiletries to the gym, etc - since the stick is solid, there’s a zero chance of a messy spill.

I was packing our birth center bag recently for the arrival of little hobbit number two, and I stuck this product in there. I remember from having my daughter how amazing the first post-labor shower can feel, and I wanted to make sure I have something very nice and gentle to wash my face. Yes, I like the Neogen Real Fresh Green Tea Cleansing Stick so much that it’s going to be my first post-baby face wash :)

The stick has done a great job at getting my face clean, both at night and in the morning. There’s something so convenient about simply gliding a product over moist skin instead of trying to foam a cleanser in my hands when I’m very tired and just want to go back to bed (which is every morning, to be honest). Overall, I highly recommend this to everyone. You can read my other cleanser reviews here and other Neogen reviews here.
