I’m a huge fan of exfoliating (in moderation). Nothing makes my skin softer, smoother, and more ready to absorb all of the Korean skincare products than a good peeling gel.
I am currently using Nature Republic Real Nature Peeling Gel in cranberry once a week (and Neogen green tea pads once a week on a different day, review here). The product contains cranberry extract along with vitamins A and C to gently remove dead skin cells and debris, resulting in a smoother, softer texture. It’s available on eBay
How to use:
Wash and dry your face
Apply a small amount of peeling gel on dry skin with dry hands
Massage for about a minute (avoid eyes and lips)
Rinse with warm water
Follow with the rest of your routine
My impressions:
I have a somewhat limited experience with peeling gels (since I only use them 1-2 times a week, each tube tends to last a long time). All the ones I have tried before this one would pill/form small beads as I used them. This one, however, doesn’t do that. That in no way hinders its effectiveness, but just something interesting to note.
I’m very pleased with the Nature Republic Cranberry Peeling Gel. The scent is divine, especially if you are into the whole Fall mood of cranberries and all things pumpkin spice (this doesn't smell like pumpkin, but you get the idea). The opaque gel base has small red particles sprinkled in, probably from cranberry seed in the ingredients, that seem to provide very gentle physical exfoliation.
My skin is always left soft and smooth without feeling dry or stripped. And the price is more than affordable, in my opinion. I’ve been using my tube for a few months and am still not out. If you are looking for an effective, good quality gel - try this one. Or read about other peeling gels that I’ve tried.
