Argan oil comes from the Moroccan argan tree and has been used as a hair and skin conditioner for a very long time. The oil is rich in fatty acids and vitamin E oil and can make the hair shiny, healthy, and more resilient without the oily feeling.
I had a very unfortunate perm experience in 2016 which fried my hair (without even making it wavy!), and as the result I cut off close to 10 inches of hair over the course of the following year. Sometimes, a haircut is the best mask. Now, I’m trying to grow back healthy hair that doesn’t break. One of the products I’ve been using to help with that is Nature Republic Argan Essential Deep Care Hair Pack, available on eBay, Amazon, and Cosmetic Love.
This is a very thick, rich hair mask that comes in a 200ml tub with a twist off lid. The fragrance is pronounced but pleasant.
How to use:
Apply to damp, clean hair (I go from about ear level to the ends)
Leave on for 10-15 minutes
Rinse well with water
Style as usual
My impressions:
I use this mask about once a week for 15-30 minutes and my hair is always left feeling soft and silky. I notice fewer strands in the hair brush and less breakage. Since the product is so thick, the jar lasts for months - only a little bit is needed every time. There is a lot of information about silicones on the web, I personally have had no issues with silicones in hair products, but if you are avoiding them for any reason, I included a list of ingredients at the end.
