The Laneige White Plus Renew line has won the Top 50 Global Beauty Award. It’s meant to brighten and make the skin tone more even while also providing hydration. It's available on eBay and Amazon.
Active ingredients:
Saururus chinensis - a brightening agent with antioxidant and antibacterial effects.
Niacinamide - vitamin B3 that visibly tightens pores, improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, evens out the skin tone, and is safe in the summer (doesn’t cause sensitivity to sunlight).
Squalane - a highly effective plant-derived emollient and antioxidant.
Cetearyl alcohol in the ingredients is a fatty alcohol - a mixture of cetyl and stearyl ones. It’s absolutely non irritating and is beneficial to the skin.
How to use:
Apply after toner and watery essences, if using
Gently press into the skin with palms and fingertips to facilitate absorption
Follow with the rest of your routine (heavier serums, lotions, etc).
My impressions:
As always, Laneige doesn’t disappoint - this essence is milky white and very light, gets absorbed quickly without a sticky residue. The smell is light and pleasant. I was sent these, along with other goodies, by a friend, and I’m very grateful. I have combination skin that’s very prone to freckles, and this essence is helping me keep that under control now that it’s sunny out.
