Once, I read a comparative review of the Missha MISA Cho Gong Jin Peel Off Pack and a similar product by Sulwhasoo. Well, Sulwhasoo is quite expensive, and Missha actually was rated better in the review, so I ordered it (available on* eBay and Amazon).
I’m 28 and have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry-to-normal cheeks. I don’t typically have breakouts.
This peeling mask is recommended if you:
Have dead skin buildup that prevents even makeup application
Want to remove impurities
Want to soothe red, irritated skin (this is what the manufacturer says, but I personally would not apply this to irritated skin).
The mask comes in a form of a thick, deeply colored gel and contains oriental medicinal ingredients and honey to get rid of impurities and soothe the skin. It has a pronounced lifting effect and helps even out the skin tone.
How to use:
After cleansing and toning, apply a thick, even layer of the product avoiding the areas around the mouth and eyes.
Let dry for 20-30 minutes, then carefully peel off
Remove any residue with a cotton pad soaked in toner
Continue with your normal routine (serum, emulsion, cream, etc).
If the mask is hard to peel off, that means you need a thicker layer. Don’t be stingy. I have used it on the whole face, but lately I prefer to apply it only to the t-zone. It’s not always too comfortable to remove from the sensitive areas next to the ears, for example (but it’s not painful). The t-zone removal is fast and easy.
My impressions:
You will forget about any discomfort as soon as you see the results. The skin is absolutely amazing after the peel. I’ve never had such smoothness, even after a professional salon facial. This effect lasts several days.
The mask smells quite strongly of ginseng. I find it interesting and “exotic”, while my husband laughs that he can smell it across the house. Oh well, beauty demands sacrifices. Overall, I highly recommend this mask. It’s available on eBay and Amazon.
