I love patches: eye patches, lip patches, nasolabial (area between your nose and corners of the lips) patches - all patches! What does a sheet mask review have to do with patches? This Leaders mask feels like a face-sized patch (which is seriously awesome). It’s one of the more interesting masks that I’ve ever tried.
The mask is made from bio cellulose and contains fermented coconut extract; the main purpose of the product is to hydrate and moisturize. Blueberries are rich in antioxidants and can help regulate the oil-moisture balance in the skin. To protect the material, the mask is sandwiched between two mesh sheets.
How to use:
Cleanse and tone the skin
Gently unfold the mask, remove one of the mesh protectors
Apply the bio cellulose side to the skin
Remove the remaining outer mesh
Leave on for 20-25 minutes
Remove, discard, and follow with the rest of your routine
My impressions:
I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry-to-normal cheeks and I’m careful to hydrate well as dehydrated skin can produce even more oil to compensate for lack of moisture. This mask has hit the nail on the head - my skin felt plumped up and nourished. The essence is a bit sticky but that goes away when you apply the rest of the skincare steps (lotion/cream). I don’t think it’s scented in any way - a benefit for anyone sensitive to fragrance. It did take me a few moments of fiddling with the bio cellulose to align it with my face, but after that it was adhering perfectly. In my book, it’s worth the price and I will definitely repurchase, especially since the mask made my one forehead wrinkle disappear, if only temporary. I bought this product on Facetory and can't find it on Amazon or eBay (which is often the case as Facetory seems to get their hands on the latest and greatest products first).
