Innisfree Green Tea Sleeping Pack Review

I’m 28 and have combination skin with an oily t-zone and dry-to-normal cheeks. Before diving into the world of Korean skincare, I was dead set on having “day cream” and “night cream” as is common in the Western routines. I was really surprised to learn that Korean beauty doesn’t make those distinctions, but they do offer sleeping masks (sometimes referred to as “packs”) for an occasional dose of something extra. The mask is available on eBay and Amazon.

This Innisfree jar was my first ever Korean sleeping mask, and I love it dearly. It contains green tea extract from the pure Jeju island, which hydrates and nourishes the skin overnight. The fields of green tea used by Innisfree are USDA certified organic, and the company uses a patented process immediately after harvest to extract the beneficial parts of the tea leaves within one hour, using steam. The products made with this green tea extract are high in antioxidants, amino acids, minerals and vitamins to support healthy skin. The first ingredient on the list - camellia sinensis leaf (tea plant) extract - is more hydrating and nourishing than purified water used by other brands.

One of the reasons I like Innisfree is the fact that their products are made without controversial ingredients such as parabens, animal products, synthetic colors, mineral oil, and imidazolidinyl urea.

How to use:

  1. Apply as the last step of evening skincare, instead of cream

  2. Gently massage over the face/neck avoiding the eyes and lips

  3. Rinse off with water or a gentle cleanser in the morning

  4. Use 1-2 times a week or as needed

My impressions:

This mask has been a great fit for my combination skin and I would repurchase it. The consistency is a milky gel with small “beads” inside. Once applied, the mask feels nourishing but not sticky. The beads dissolve as you massage the mask into the skin. Every time I use it, I wake up with a plump, refreshed face. The fine line on my forehead disappears overnight due to the increased hydration. I have also applied the mask on my hands, especially in the winter, and that helped control the dryness and cracking. The smell is light and fresh, the same as in the rest of the Innisfree green tea line. Overall, there’s nothing I dislike about this product, so go ahead and try it. This mask is available on eBay and Amazon. Read my other Innisfree reviews here.
