Innisfree Ginger Oil Warming Mask Review

I have combination skin with prone to oiliness t-zone and dry-to-normal cheeks. I love masks, scrubs, and peeling gels - all the fun “supplemental” steps of the Korean beauty routine. Eventually, I stumbled across this mask on the internet and had to have it.

Innisfree Ginger Oil Warming Mask is means to restore the skin, erase the negative effects of the environment, and result in a glowing, healthy, wrinkle-free appearance. It’s also warming, which is amazing for people like myself who are always, always cold!

The mask can be bought on eBay or Amazon.

How to use:

  1. Wash the face and use toner

  2. Apply the mask, avoiding eyes and lips (I recommend pulling the hair back)

  3. Massage in circular motions for 1-2 minutes, enjoying the warm feeling

  4. Leave on for another 10-15 minutes

  5. Wash off with water

The product has a thick, honey-like consistency and an amazing, mouth-watering smell of ginger jam. It’s slightly sticky during use, with some oiliness to it (makes sense based on the name), which makes massaging the face very easy and pleasant.

The mask leaves behind a very pleasant, smooth protective layer that’s not sticky or greasy. Because of that, I usually wait about 30 minutes before applying cream or an overnight mask. My face usually feels so nice after the ginger oil mask that I don’t need any other steps (serums, ampoules, etc).

I loved this mask. Sadly, it’s all gone now. It made my skin look so fresh and nourished, and the warmth was very relaxing. I have tried other “hot” masks (non-Korean) and always found them disappointing. I think it’s because the heat was caused by chemical reactions activated by air and became overwhelmingly hot. However, the Innisfree mask’s heat comes from ginger oil and doesn’t burn at all. It doesn’t dry out on the face and is easy to wash off. Cacao and macadamia nut oil, lipids, the patented Innisfree “green complex”, and camellia extract all benefit the skin. There are no parabens or other harmful ingredients (which is another reason why I like Innisfree as a brand). I think this would suit any skin type. There are other products in the ginger line, which I haven’t tried yet.

The mask can be bought on eBay or Amazon.
